Lucky bamboo leaves turning yellow?

Q: I've grown lucky bamboo before but I've never had this happen. I have 4 sticks of the bamboo growing in water with rocks. I've had them for about a month and now the leaves are turning yellowish in some spots. The vase is located near a window, so they could be getting too much light? Thanks!

A: The one thing about Lucky Bamboo is you need to change out the water and rinse off the roots so that fungus don;t build up. If you don't your problem occur-es. I wash the whole stem every so often in the sink, swishing it back and forth in a little dish soap, with a couple drops of bleach. Rinse well. Also make sure your container and rocks are well cleaned before returning the bamboo. Also a little less direct sun light may help in your situation.
