Q: We saw a mouse running around the house and I caught it. I thought the job was done. Then I saw two more mice chasing each other through our family room. It looked like a mating ritual. So, I knew we had three. Well, I caught another one yesterday and thought we were safe with just one running around. But this morning I managed to catch three more mice. So, now I have five caught and I can still hear at least one running around. I don't know whether to believe that we have six mice and I've caught five or that the mice are breeding so rapidly in my home that I've easily caught five. The way to catch them is to put peanut butter and/or sunflower seeds in the bottom of a typical plastic kitchen garbage container. Lay the container on it's back with the lid open and place against a wall where the mice run. Let the opening of the pail be where there is a corner. When the mice run in, slam the lid and stand up the container. Hold it shut and transport out of your neighborhood.
A: Mice/Hamsters and other small rodents have anywhere between 5-7 babies. Definately keep doing what you're doing. Depending on how many you have, it can take a few nights. Please don't kill them, though.. They're just trying to keep warm and safe in your home. -I admire your way of catching them, though. That's pretty cool. [; Keep up your good work, and I garuntee, you won't have any more mice - especially since they like peanutbutter and seeds!
